OMFG I AM GOING TO ACEN! YES REALLY!

IM SO EXCITEDEDEDEDED!

a little over a week ago, my friend sam said he wants to go (hes NEVER been to con) but that wasnt enough for me to be able to afford the trip, and i had already asked most of my close friends so it still seemed as if it wasnt happening. but tonight i was chatting with my acquaintance friend from school (and cons lol) and she invited me to go with her and her roommate! and she doesnt mind sam coming too! yay now im going to wait for xmas moneys to pay for registration!

im SO psyched! i cant wait to tell ~EmmyLou lol



ps- IM DONE WITH FINALS! OMFG IM SO EXHAUSTED, THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF MY TOUGHEST YEARS FOR ME! DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE! *sleep!*

i haven't had any luck with friends wanting to go. its understandable because a lot of my friends have kinda grown out of cons & none of us have any money right now. i have one friend who is going- but he is staying at someones house who lives like 45 minutes away from the con. he is going to talk to them and see if i could maybe tag along- but its pushing it. if i dont find anybody by new years, then ill decide not to go to the con. im sick of registering year after year for various cons and have them not work out. and im not the type to go somewhere by myself- it just doesnt sound fun.

so i havent completely given up, but like i said, if i dont get an answer from anyone then im going to plan on not going.

is anyone here interested in going to ACEN this year? i have 1 friend who is interested and he might bring his wife- but 90% of the time he doesnt follow through with things. i really want to go- i went in 2007 and the con was fun for me but the people i went with didnt really have a good time compared to the cost of the trip. i think a lot of it had to do with us not having been there before and i think that the next time i go it will be even more fun knowing what to expect and watch out for.

i have been looking at hotels and found some really really good deals- but they are non-refundable. i havent booked anything yet, but im worried that if i do book and cant find someone to room with- im screwed. with the holiday weekend coming up, a lot more people are probably going to be planning their trips and booking rooms. i want to avoid missing out because of waiting too long. if anyone wants to room with me, let me know so i can think about it and then book the room!
